Poor Zanta

Despite the fact that Santa is meant to be a jolly guy, street performer David Zanaci has other ideas. Around Toronto, the muscled man is notorious for running around saying “yes, yes, yes” and “Merry Christmas.” Then, in 2014, he went a little too far. He frequently plays a loud, obnoxious, now-famous version of Santa he calls “Zanta.” Zanta interrupted a broadcast by Global BC reporter Mark Carcasole from the streets of Toronto by rushing into the frame and shouting, “Google Zanta! Zanta can be found on Google!”, the performer yelled. Thankfully, Carasole maintained his composure despite Zanaci’s antics while he was being escorted away by security. He wrapped up his report as if nothing had happened, only adding at the very end that he “knows Zanta well.”
