One evening in the late 1990s, as ABC 7 anchor Marc Brown began reading the news, everything appeared to be in order. That is, until he noticed the drawing of a wanted rapist and recognized, like many viewers did, that Brown himself appeared to somewhat resemble him in it! Many people at home questioned whether the culprit wasn’t concealed. Of course, Brown was not actually involved in the crime, according to ABC 7 News and YouTube. It was merely a coincidence! That didn’t stop this, though, from becoming one of the most well-known and hilarious anchor pictures ever. This legendary news report is still referenced in memes today.
