Creating a Wave

You’ve certainly all heard the phrase “making a splash” before, but nothing quite like this. Like every news broadcaster, BBC sports anchor Mike Bushell has made his fair share of mistakes. But when he spoke with five English swimmers who had just won at the Commonwealth Games in Australia, he was sincere in thinking that nothing could possibly go wrong. Bushell was so assured, in fact, that he chose to hold the interview from within the pool! Unfortunately, things did not go according to plan. BBC As soon as Bushell stepped into the water, he could barely manage to utter the word “congratulations” before taking a wrong turn. The sports announcer was fully buried in the pool a short while afterwards! Bushell was unable to even send it back to the television anchors in the studio since his microphone was broken and his clothes were drenched with water. The interview was obviously cut short.
