As reporter Laura Rutledge covered a football game between the universities of Georgia and Massachusetts in 2018, everything appeared to be going according to plan. But in an instant, Georgia athlete Prather Hudson lunged into Rutledge, knocking her to the ground and dealing her a hard hit. Thankfully, the reporter laughed it off, wasn’t gravely hurt, and even continued reporting! Unfortunately for Hudson, Rutledge received a tweet from Hudson after the game saying she was sorry for knocking her down and that she could be picked up at 7. He set up a date, but nothing happened. If you didn’t know, Josh Rutledge of the Boston Red Sox is a professional baseball player and is married to Laura Rutledge.
