15. Fill a Water Dish with Rocks to Keep Butterflies From Drowning

Supplies Required: Pebbles or rocks
Cost of Production: $4–$6 per bag*
It’s wonderful if you want to create a waterer for butterflies and bees! To make sure your waterer is safe, there are a few things you must do. You want to make sure butterflies have a place to land since, despite their ability to fly, they are unable to swim.
To prevent butterflies from drowning, add rocks to a water dish (@rachel3vino / Pinterest).
Fill the bag with colored pebbles or rocks (the kind you get at the craft shop) and transfer it to a wide, shallow container. A few ounces of water should be added to the container, but not so much that the butterflies and bees could drown. The bugs will have a place to land thanks to the pebbles.
