A botanical garden in Ecuador came to house an amazing sloth called “Flora,” who grew close to the property’s managers.Flora’s natural eating patterns helped to control some invading plants, therefore demonstrating an amazing capacity to coexist with the fragile plant specimens—never hurting the rare species.Her presence drew more people to the garden and helped to create instructional initiatives on wildlife preservation.Her behavior was observed by researchers in order to better grasp how sloths might help to control the natural ecosystems.
