Those who consider themselves “young at heart” can partake in the fun with water pistols, water balloons, and buckets of water, which are traditional Easter activities. During fertility rites years ago, young women may anticipate having water thrown on them, which is where this practice originated. With their Smigus-Dyngus heritage, the Polish now have greater equality of opportunity.
