7. The Oceanic Oracle: Seafaring Surprise

The eighth red lightning bolt painted on the huge Pacific Ocean canvas. The red bolt drop from the sky into the depths of the water was seen by a research vessel investigating marine ecosystems close to the Mariana Trench. Along with the occurrence, there was an odd bioluminescent display in the nearby waters that mesmerizingly lasted many minutes.
After the lightning strike, marine biologists on board the ship noted hitherto unheard-of behaviour among deep-sea life. Large-scale fish population fluctuations and the discovery of hitherto unidentified bioluminescent creatures were revealed by sonar data. These findings sparked conjecture on the possible effects of the red lightning on aquatic life as well as the existence of hitherto unknown energy transfer channels linking the atmosphere to the ocean floor.
Researchers uncovered some shocking finds as submersibles were sent to inspect the crash site. Surrounded by a shell of plasma that miraculously preserved its integrity despite the great pressure of the deep ocean, the red lightning had produced a precisely spherical hollow in the water. Inside this field, the laws of physics appeared to function differently. Instruments tracked changes in time dilation effects, gravity, and the natural creation of unusual particles.
The sphere seemed most remarkably to be a portal to yet undiscovered habitats. Deeper probing cameras uncovered a hidden realm rich with life forms defying traditional categorisation. Never seen on Earth, creatures with bioluminescent qualities swam over the sphere, their bodies throbbing with intricate patterns of light that seemed to transmit information. Some of these species showed traits of intellect much beyond what might be expected of marine life, which sparked intense discussions on the potential of an advanced, undiscovered civilisation living on the ocean below.
