In Dubai’s glittering wonderland, real robotic police officers patrol malls and tourist destinations. They are outfitted with all the tools necessary to report crimes, collect fines, and even have touchscreen conversations with you.
Dubai is planning to make a whopping 25% of its police force robotic by 2030, as if police on hoverbikes and gilded supercars weren’t enough. No, they will not replace human law enforcement; however, it is only a matter of time before they begin to consume lattes with goldflakes, right? Hopefully, these metal police officers won’t go all “Terminator” on us. Apparently, Dubai life imitates art in the most opulent manner imaginable!
