1. The World’s First City with Temperature Control

The Mall of the World, to be built in Dubai, will be the first temperature-controlled city in history. With a $6.8 billion budget and 48 million square feet of space, it is a massive project. The plan is to develop something akin to an enormous mall, but it will also include 100 housing and hotel complexes. It is anticipated to generate 180 million visitors annually due to its massive size.

In addition to being a destination for shopping, the Mall of the World will also serve as a hub for entertainment and culture. It will have a theatre district reminiscent of New York’s renowned Broadway. Additionally, a unique pedestrian zone modelled after a well-known Barcelona street will exist. Additionally, a “wellness district” for medical tourists will be built. With this new effort, Dubai hopes to significantly impact city design by emphasizing its ability to be both breathtaking and ecologically responsible.
