2. Officers riding hoverbikes
Dubai’s law enforcement capabilities are no longer limited to the sky. The Dubai Police Force is planning to upgrade their already ostentatious fleet of police cars with hoverbikes, which will elevate “beat patrol” to a whole new level. Constructed by Hoversurf, these aerial bikes include a carbon fibre shell and four rotors that enable vertical take-off and landing, making them lightweight at just 114 kg. Officers with a unique skill set that mixes motorbike riding and drone operating are necessary to join this futuristic squad.

The Dubai Police Force views these hoverbikes as first responders to reach regions less accessible by car. The force is already well-known for its street patrols in Lamborghinis and Bugattis. These aren’t slow rides, either; they can shoot through the air at up to 60 mph and soar up to 16 feet above the ground. A civilian hoverbike may be your next major purchase if you have a strong sense of adventure and a sizable financial account—for a cool $150,000. With this most recent ambitious project, Dubai is undoubtedly putting the “sky” in “skyline.”
