Not many times do you travel to a Scottish village and discover an old sculpture of a British politician. This 18th-century antique bust of the esteemed British politician Sir John Gordon was discovered to be doing the lowly duty of holding open a shed door.

Years passed before anyone in the sleepy small Scottish community of Balintore, Easter Ross, realized the treasure they possessed. The sculpture, which costs more than $1.9 million (£1.5 million), is currently on a lavish display in the Louvre.
