Joel Embiid, the center for the Philadelphia 76ers, received a heavy fine in January 2023 of $25,000 for making an insensitive gesture at the Brooklyn Nets. The gesture was declared out of bounds by the NBA, and it was clearly the signature crotch chop of the famed WWE faction, DX.

While some believe Embiid was only acting spontaneously, others believe he was sending an “in your face” message to his former teammate Ben Simmons. Embiid lost $25,000 due to his unsportsmanlike behavior, regardless of the cause. Joel would have to work on it for around three minutes.
