The worst thing is having gum in your hair, and if it occurs to you—or, if you’re an adult, most likely your child—it’s easy to become anxious. However, grab the vaseline instead of the scissors if you want to give yourself or your child a dramatic haircut.

Vaseline can aid in gum elasticity. Spread a good layer of the jelly over the gums and hair. Next, carefully pull on the gum until it comes out completely. While it could take some time, this is a better option than a terrible haircut.
