While people adopt animals constantly, did you know that animals also adopt? On the right Murphy is a bald-headed eagle who spent months patiently hatching what he believed to be an egg. He was blind, though, not realising it was really a rock! The animal centre assigned an orphaned chick to raise when he realised what he was doing; he adopted this duty like a duck to water.
We don’t think we have ever seen anything sweeter than this adorable picture Murphy feeding his adopted chick. Given images like this, why would you not be an animal lover?
