To convert wind energy into power, wind turbines must be enormous, with an average turbine costing in the seven figures. One turbine takes two years to develop and install, and as you can imagine, a lot of mechanical help from large machinery is needed throughout the installation process.
8. Take a Jetski Under a Huge Ship

Location Found: San Diego, California, Est. Building costs: $1.5 billion, inflation adjusted.
Certainly, the last thing these guys would want to do is drive up in front of this enormous, monstrous ship while it isn’t moored. The image presents a jet ski in front of a massive ship, creating an eerie atmosphere.

Despite the fact that humans built the spaceship in 1943, they appear minuscule in front of it. The vessel in question is the U.S.S. Midway, a museum-quality former naval aircraft carrier. Adult tickets for this ship, which has a large number of planes on board, are $31.
9. Northern Angel

Found in: Gateshead, United Kingdom, Est. Building cost: $1.5 million
Angel of the North, erected in 1998 by artist Antony Gormley, watches over Gateshead, Tynes and Wear, England. The purpose of this artistic sculpture was to serve as a reminder to us of the hundreds of years that coal miners toiled in the dark underneath it.

Due to local opposition and technical challenges, Gormley had his reservations and the sculpture almost never happened. The sculpture took a long time to complete, and its wingspan is nearly as large as a Boeing Jumbo Jet.
