The human in front of us is absolutely dwarfed by this peaceful, gigantic tree, which serves as a reminder of how magnificent Mother Nature can be. This tree, along with many others like it, would likely take over the planet if humans were extinct.

This type of tree is called a Giant Kapok, and it grows in Florida (Palm Beach is where this shot was taken). In certain tropical regions, kapok trees can reach heights of 200 feet and grow up to 13 feet a year.
