6. Construct an Aphid Trap

Goal: Permanently eradicate bothersome aphids.
You’ll need a yellow Solo cup, a wooden or metal stick (plastic will work just as well), and Vaseline for this hack. Aphids are annoying insects that seem to enjoy the color yellow, but this aphid trap will get rid of them.

Take the yellow cup, turn it inside out, and place it over the stake. Set down the stake in the earth. Finally, generously coat the yellow cup with Vaseline. Although the color will attract the aphids, the vaseline will trap them and keep them away from your plants.
