1. Someone Tried To Make Wine
Est. Cost: $5-$10*
What Happened: A wine attempt turned explosive
A Google search of “make your own wine” turns up an array of how-to recipes, some of which look pretty easy. Making your own wine is a lot like making bread—it takes practice, and you’re going to mess it up at first.

Someone Tried To Make Wine
This person’s dad tried to make wine, resulting in this insane, explosive event. It’s not clear how this happened, but what is clear is that next time, dad should just go to the store and pick up a bottle, instead. Wine stains all on the white cabinets—yikes!
2. Chick Explosion
Est. Cost: $15-$25*
What Happened: Chicks outgrew the pan
Happy Easter! Or, at least that was the message these chicks were supposed to convey. These buns looked cute before they went into the oven, but, when removed, they looked like they were fighting to escape with their lives.

Chick Explosion @shopify/
It’s possible that there was too much yeast in the pan; or, perhaps, the dish was too small. We’re no baking experts, but something had to have gone wrong to create this travesty, right? Better luck next time.
3. A Scene From CSI
Est. Cost: $15-$20*
What Happened: Peppermint cookies melted a bit too much
This holiday baking fail still looks edible, which is more than we can say for a lot of the cooking and baking fails gracing this list. Still, these cookies (perhaps they are supposed to be gingerbread men, minus the ginger) look rough.

A Scene From CSI
They look like the bodies from a show like CSI. The peppermint must have leaked out, causing this hilarious photo. Still, we couldn’t call this a batch wasted—it’s just one that’s not too photogenic is all.
