Instagram users @bored_in_self_isolation and @bakingfailures shared a photo of their effort at making French macarons. Macarons are renowned for being difficult to prepare and needing numerous tips and tricks to turn out well.

Because this batch melted everywhere, the form completely collapsed. The poster did, however, note that the macarons were still delicious in spite of their fairly gory appearance, which is more than we can say for many of the posts on this list.
