Incorporating MIRV capability and increased accuracy, China’s DF-5B is a revised form of the original DF-5 ICBM. Comprising a range of more than 12,000 kilometres, this liquid-fueled missile may carry up to eight warheads. Its silo-based deployment offers defence against first strikes; its great payload capacity lets different combinations of warheads and penetration aids possible.
