The most recent development of the venerable Cobra design, the AH-1Z Viper marks a quantum increase in attack helicopter capability. Its four-blade composite rotor system gives pilots exceptional agility; its integrated Top Owl helmet-mounted display system gives them hitherto unheard-of situational awareness. Maintaining the capacity to operate from naval vessels, the Viper can carry twice the ammo and fuel load of its predecessors.
