Active Protection Systems (APS) evolved to reflect a quantum jump in IFV survivability. These systems automatically implement countermeasures to intercept approaching hazards using infrared sensors and radar, therefore preventing impact. Among the many dangers modern APS can neutralize are anti-tank guided missiles, rocket-propelled grenades, and even kinetic energy projectiles. 6. Multi-Spectral Signature Management
Advanced signature management technologies have transformed IFV stealth capacity.
