Known as the Cardon Cactus, it was discovered in Mexico in the 1890s. It is a true “absolute unit,” as someone on Reddit noted, having risen an astounding 26 feet. The weight of it exceeds 22,000 pounds.

There are no more Cardons outside of northwest Mexico, where this enormous cactus is indigenous. Because this plant is not only big but also extremely hardy, it can live for up to three hundred years.
