Of course, Liz didn’t use the gong at all, but isn’t it great to believe that maybe she did? Although the finely constructed ornamental gong is an intriguing focal point for the Royal Collection, there’s a hint that it wasn’t placed on the Queen’s fireplace. It’s probably safely stored away somewhere these days.
