Throughout her long reign, the Queen received many odd and fantastic gifts, but did you know that she received enough animals to establish her own zoo? She was fortunate enough to own several exotic creatures, one of them being an elephant named Jumbo.

Although there isn’t a Disney film on this amazing big-eared creature, Jumbo’s tale is fascinating. In 1972, the President of Cameroon presented Liz with an elephant in remembrance. Her Majesty fed Jumbo avocados and bananas on the plane as they travelled back to the UK together.
