This DIY project was inspired by a proposed snow globe that appears to be a playful winter ornament consisting of a jar, a handcrafted snowman wearing a red scarf, and a sticky liquid. One person’s attempt to replicate the snow globe ended up looking like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from Ghostbusters, stuck in glue to prevent it from escaping.

If you don’t purchase snow globes online, they are actually rather inexpensive. A $10–$15 one from Target or Marshalls will set you back. They are shockingly costly, ranging from $35 to $45 on Amazon. To be fair, though, there is a lot more diversity there.
