Over the past few decades, the United Arab Emirates has seen a surge in exquisite architecture, with the 5-star Emirates Palace being a part of this first wave. Since it opened for business as a $3 billion hotel in 2005, it has lived up to its moniker as a “palace.”

The 394 rooms of the hotel are furnished primarily with marble or occasionally with gold. The property features a private beach that is nearly a mile long, as well as two helipads, just in case. The castle also includes forty rooms set aside for meetings, should you need to steal an afternoon from your holiday to take care of business.
