Since the 1800s, the Tokyo Imperial Palace in Tokyo, Japan, has served as the primary residence for Japanese emperors. This cost soars into the trillions if you use the Ginza office space as a point of comparison. The Palace once had a value greater than all of California’s real estate put together during the 1980s Japanese real estate boom. Every year, thousands of people come to this palace to view its breathtaking lawns, gardens, and architecture.
