The construction of the Palace of Versailles cost about $2 billion in modern currency. The nation’s crown gem is this palace, which is situated in Versailles, France. Built over 3,200 apartments, the Palace was designed by King Louis XIV in the 1600s. The palace is enormous, taking up 3.147 square kilometers of land on its whole.
