Aside from low repair costs, TIME described the Chevrolet Cobalt’s history as “long” and “troubled.” The Cobalt stalled due to a malfunctioning ignition switch, disabling the airbags and power steering.That defective switch was connected to thirteen deaths, according to a TIME article. In 2014, the Cobalt was taken off the market.
