The FC-31 or J-35 are other names for the Shenyang J-31. It has also been referred to as “Falcon Hawk” and “Snowy Owl.” The J-31 was created by Shenyang Aircraft Corporation, a state-owned business with a distinct organizational structure from businesses like Northrop, which have contracts with the government but are not government-owned.

In 2012, the J-31 made its maiden flight on Halloween. There have only been two prototypes constructed, and it has not yet been properly introduced. The jet is in the “flight testing” phase right now. The J-31 is anticipated to be a stealth-based multirole fighter.
