Google’s engineers used a variety of engaging cues to test its AI, some of which required the AI to generate original visuals. The engineers decided not to provide the AI with any abstract cues during one testing session.

Rather, they provided real-world object photos to the AI and requested that it report back to the researchers with its observations. The unexpected findings demonstrated how AI “thinks” and perceives everyday items in such an otherworldly manner.
