5.iPad
Cost: $300–$400 (assuming it’s an actual iPad)* If it’s a genuine iPad, made by Apple
Acquired via: “Auction website”
When a user saw an inexpensive iPad at an “auction website,” he believed he had won the lottery. The search was for inexpensive Christmas presents. He hit “Buy” since, unlike most iPads, this one didn’t cost several hundred dollars.

Unfortunately, this iPad turned out to be a scammer looking to make quick cash, even though it had the packaging of a genuine iPad. It was a children’s toy, not at all an Apple product. Unfortunately, there was one instance where the offer appeared too good to be true. Though it’s unlikely, hopefully the auction site gave him a refund.
