The notorious humpback whale, Bladerunner, is immediately recognised by her noticeable scarring along her back. Despite being struck by a propeller twenty years ago, this whale is a survivor and has managed to carry on swimming.

In 2022, Bladerunner was sighted in the Tasmanian Seas, and many people who were concerned about her fate rejoiced over this well-timed photo captured by the camera. This picture seems to show that she’s doing well, since she was spotted swimming calmly at Cape Huay alongside dozens of other whales.
