Bull Terrier

The Bull Terrier, easily recognized by its distinctive dense head, is a popular breed often featured in commercials. It is famously known as the Target store mascot, Bullseye, and as Budweiser’s lively Spuds MacKenzie. Although beloved by many, the Bull Terrier is not recommended for families new to dog ownership. While breeding began in the 1900s, the breed was officially recognized in 1936.

Bull Terriers are fun-loving, fearless, clownish, active, and obedient, but they are not suitable for every household. Without adequate exercise and mental stimulation, they can become destructive and pose a risk to small children. These dogs require daily supervised activities, such as running and playing, to stay happy and healthy. They are extremely strong and possess jaw power similar to that of a Pit Bull. Additionally, they should be kept away from smaller pets like rabbits, guinea pigs, and cats.
