Rhodesian Ridgeback

In the 1870s, in Rhodesia, this courageous breed was known for its ability to protect against lions. While highly intelligent, the Ridgeback can become stubborn and strong-willed without proper training and handling. If it lacks sufficient exercise or does not view any human as its authority figure, it may become destructive and aggressive toward other dogs. With the right upbringing, however, the Rhodesian Ridgeback can grow into a calm, gentle, and obedient companion.
