Dalmatian

Dalmatians were originally bred for running, often accompanying horse-drawn carriages and later working with fire brigades. This breed thrives on physical activity, so a daily 10-mile jog might help meet its exercise needs. However, even that may not fully address its excitable nature, as it is one of the most high-strung breeds.

With its striking white coat covered in black spots, tall frame, long tail, and floppy ears, the Dalmatian is visually distinctive. While it can be trained to be a good watchdog, this requires significant effort. Without proper training, Dalmatians can become aggressive and destructive. They are high-maintenance dogs capable of digging large holes in the yard and are generally too excitable to be safe around small children.
