12. The Theory of Synestia

Found Year: 2019
It was discovered by Sarah T. Stuart.
Location: Venus’s planet
An analysis published in the Journal of Geophysical Research: Planets in 2017 suggested that synestia may have been a donut-shaped, short-lived hot mass that once supported life on Earth. These celestial objects are thought to have originated from the collision of two bodies the size of big planets, which is also thought to be how the moon formed.

Studies have shown that Synestia was a stage before the Earth and Moon formed under the giant-impact current theory. According to this idea, Synestia originated from a collision with an object with a high energy and high angular momentum.
