Pricey cuticle creams are for the birds, and as long as you have decent ol’ Vaseline, you shouldn’t waste any money on them. Vaseline hydrates and softens cuticles by locking in moisture. It hydrates the nail itself and does wonders for it.

Applying Vaseline to clean hands at night while wearing soft gloves will yield the best results. If you’re pressed for time, though, you might apply Vaseline and let it sit for five minutes, then remove any leftovers by wiping them off.
