11. Free a Sticky Ring

Goal: Vaseline lubricates the ring to make it easier to remove.
Vaseline can assist if your ring from Zales or Kay Jewelers just won’t come off. The original method for removing sticky rings is vaseline (well, that plus butter). A jammed ring can cause panic and a mild form of claustrophobia.

When applying Vaseline, ensure that your ring and finger are completely and repeatedly coated. Apply increasing amounts of Vaseline by twiddling the ring from side to side or back and forth. After a few minutes, it should come off if you are as careful as possible.
