Captured from above, this aerial shot by Kyle Munson shows two grey whales migrating—based on their sizes, it looks like a mother and her calf. The SwellPro Splash Drone 3, a drone that performs well near water, may have been the one utilised. Any sea spray would have been unaffected by the waterproof drone.

Migration routes of grey whales are serious business. They travel between 10,000 and 12,000 miles in a round trip from one calving lagoon to another each year. They cover about seventy-five miles a day at a speed of five miles per hour. September and October are the months when they migrate south, ending in the warm Baja and Mexican lagoons. Their Arctic seaside summer residence.
