106. Hand Peeler

Found at: Thrift StoreValue: $9.99/4-pack*This takes the concept of a hand-peeler to a new level. As one thrift shopper said, he bought this years ago and has loved it ever since. It’s one of his “favorite” things in the kitchen. However, there are some naysayers, as he admitted this peace-sign peeler creeps out his daughter, who is not a fan.

Hand Peeler @boredpanda / PinterestIf you think it looks cool, you’re in luck, as you can buy this peeler on Amazon for $9.99 for four. These peelers aren’t flesh-toned, though, as they come in green, pink, blue, and yellow. However, the change in tone is a small price to pay for the novelty of it.

107. Toilet Golf

Found at: GoodwillValue: $1.99*One shopper found a new way to distract himself during a toilet break. You might just go on your phone and scroll social media, but why not be a little more active? This golf game is a putt-putt game for people who are on the toilet, and it cost the shopper just $1.99.

Toilet Golf @doplimavisos / PinterestIf you’re into the concept, you’re in luck, as you can buy the “Potty Putter Toilet Time” golf game on Amazon for just $14.99. Note, you will have to see a rather disturbing advertising picture of a man actually on the toilet playing golf, if you want to purchase this Amazon product.

108. Giant Stamp

Found at: Thrift Store  Value: $2*Shopper Ashley Margaret admitted this giant stamp was “ridiculous,” but she couldn’t help but purchase it, as it was only $2. This stamp must be for giant library books (back in the days where they would stamp the return date, instead of handing you a receipt), because it’s the size of the average person’s forearm.

Giant Stamp? @boredpanda / PinterestNow, the only question is finding an ink pad large enough to handle the stamp. Judging from the size of this surprisingly-cheap stamp, the ink pad might have to be a pot of paint. You can find a regular-sized ink stamp for $8.99 on Amazon.

109. The South Butt

Found at: The South ButtValue: $75.29*This ridiculous jacket has quite the back story to it. The South Butt isn’t a cheap knockoff gone wrong—it’s an actual brand, created by someone named James A. Winkelmann to make fun of the North Face, which Winkelmann considered pretentious.

Giant Stamp? @boredpanda / PinterestWhen Winkelmann founded the company in 2007, he was a sixteen-year-old making a dumb joke. But, his company began to grow rapidly, and the North Face threatened him with legal action. Winkelmann didn’t back down, and the case went to court. The would-be company owner ended up having to pay restitution to The North Face, in addition to terminating this beloved, hilarious brand.

110. Feather tie

Found at: UnknownValue: $10*As one Redditor said, you can “forget everything you knew about ties,” as this thrift store took it to a completely new level. This feather tie is admittedly pretty cool-looking, and it seems like it was made from the feathers of many different birds.

Giant Stamp? @boredpanda / PinterestThough it’s not clear where this came from, the work looks a bit like something you’d find at Brackish Bowties, which makes bow ties (and other, similar accessories) from feathers. While their beautiful bow ties cost around $195 a tie, this one since it was found at a thrift store, was far cheaper, but still very unique and interesting.

111. Fuzzy Scale

Found at: UnknownValue: $20*If you get on the scale every morning, good for you. If you’re brave enough to give the scale a go, you might have noticed that the surface of the scale is somewhat cold and rough. Well, one thrift store picked up an item that might be a solution to that problem.Fuzzy Scale @MicTyson / Imgur.comThis fur-covered scale is certainly an option for scale-steppers who want a cushy place to weigh themselves. A quick search of Amazon proved that “fur-covered scales” are not exactly an in-demand item. So, it appears that this thrift store find was custom-made and, unfortunately, pre-owned.

112. Cat lovers Sofa

Found at: GoodwillValue: $14.99*Goodwill is a nice place to get furniture because it’s usually way cheaper than you’d find at regular stores, and the furniture tends to be in pretty good shape, even if it’s pre-owned. An armchair like this might cost a couple hundred at a major chain, though we doubt you’d find this pattern anywhere at Levin or IKEA.

Cat lovers Sofa @frequencity / Imgur.comThis armchair has to have been reupholstered, as a bunch of wide-eyed cats staring out at buyers isn’t something a major chain would pick up. This one-of-a-kind cat armchair was found at Goodwill for under $15 to anyone brave enough to snag it.

113. Stitch Purse

Stitch Purse @aInventions / PinterestOne hardcore Lilo & Stitch fan picked up this Stitch pursue at Value Village, a discount shop. The Stitch purse featured the grinning alien, and, when you open his mouth, the purse opens. For only $14.99, it’s not a bad buy, especially if this shopper loves the movie.

114. Dog Hair Knitting Book

Found at: UnknownValue: $5*Of course, the first thing we did when we saw this book was check the Internet to see if it’s real, and indeed it is. Knitting with Dog Hair is a 116-page manual teaching you how to knit actual sweaters, scarves, and gloves from dog hair. As the subtitle says, it’s “better” than a sweater from a “sheep you’ll never meet.”Stitch Purse @aInventions / PinterestKnitting dog hair clothing is certainly a unique alternative to wearing them, and it appears that some people have genuinely given this a try, as the book has a 3.9/5-star review on Goodreads.  Though strange, the originality is definitely something to be applauded.

Right now, it’s out of stock, but hopefully, the museum will get more of this unique item.

Found at: UnknownValue: $40*If you can’t solve a Rubik’s cube, why not make a table out of it? The table is a giant version of the classic handheld toy, and it has a little glass table perched onto it.

Handerpants @ebaumsworld / Pinteres.comThe novelty item is a pretty good gag gift, and you can buy it on Amazon for $12.95. 118. Giant Brontosaurus Head

Found at: UnknownValue: $20*The Reddit thread r/ThriftStoreHauls always has something unique and strange to offer, and this brontosaurus head fits the bill. As Redditor @TeaTimeAtThree said, they just couldn’t bear to leave their newfound friend, “Bernie,” at the thrift store.

Giant Brontosaurus Head ©r/ThriftStoreHauls/u/TeaTimeAtThree/RedditTo be fair, Bernie goes great with the room’s stylish décor (notably, it seems like there are a lot of unique pieces on the walls), but his existence is a bit of a mystery. Was he a museum relic that got retired? Did he come from a theme park? When midnight hits, does he become a real dinosaur? We may never know.

119. Polio Vaccine Card

Found at: UnknownValue: $0.99-$5*It was in the early 1900s that polio was discovered to be contagious, and the first major outbreak happened in Vermont in the late eighteenth century. Polio had been around since ancient times, but it wasn’t until 1955 that the first polio vaccine came out. The U.S. has been free of the horrible disease since 1979.

Polio Vaccine Card ©r/ThriftStoreHauls/u/StrangeLikeNormal/RedditA piece of history from that time period came into a thrift store decades after it was issued. The card dates back to the 1950s, and it was signed by a doctor named “E.H. Schauer.” Whoever Joan was, we’re glad she seems to have escaped the paralytic disease.

120. Cat Seance Tealight Holder

Found at: UnknownValue: $2*The buyer who snagged this unique item called it one of their “favorite finds.” The heavy stone tea light holder was designed like a cat séance, with seven chonky cats sitting around the tea light, casting a spell to destroy humankind.

Cat Seance Tealight Holder ©r/ThriftStoreHauls/u/WheresDorinda/RedditBest of all, this cat séance sculpture only cost $2. No matter whether you’re a cat fan or a fan of contacting the dead, this sculpture is one of the best finds on this list. Our favorite feature of it is how chubby the cats are. As everyone knows, fat cats are the cutest cats (though they should be on diets for their own health).
