When the Bimini Road was discovered in 1968 by three divers who descended eighteen feet below the water’s surface close to North Bimini Island, everyone was ecstatic. An underwater rock formation that resembles a street with cobblestones is called the Bimini Road. The road is made up of chunks of limestone and is 0.5 miles long.

Many believed that Bimini Road was the “Road to Atlantis,” but experts have dashed their hopes by pointing out that the road is actually composed of shattered beach rock and providing a geological explanation. Nevertheless, a few years ago, an episode of Sci-Fi Channel’s Quest for Atlantis: Startling New Secrets made the assertion that Bimini might have been a long-lost “Yellow Brick Road” leading to Atlantis.
