There are three versions of the Hercules: M88A2, M88A1, and M88. While under fire, the M88 replaces or repairs damaged elements of combat vehicles. In addition, the M88 is essentially a powerful tow truck that can free damaged or impaled cars. A maximum of 140 tons may be towed by the M88’s primary winch.
