The Basic is equipped with a Humvee turret that holds two Stinger missiles. Using a VT Miltope PCU display, the gunner can choose which target to engage thanks to the Slew-to-Cue subsystem. The 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment was the target of the Up-Gun’s development in 2005. Its M3P.50 cal machine gun is for defense of units and assets.
