The Shredder is another name for the M1150 Assault Breacher Vehicle. It is a vehicle designed to clear mines and explosives, and it uses the same chassis as the iconic M1 Abrams. It has a mine-plough and line charges. The US Marines deployed it for the first time in 2009 during Operation Cobra’s Anger.

The Shredder’s purpose was to break through minefields and make way over roadside bombs and IEDs. With a 1,500 horsepower engine, it is 40 feet long and weighs 72 tons. The Shredder’s machine gun is a.50 caliber. With over seven thousand pounds of explosives on its metallic skis, the 15-foot broad, front-mounted plow is quite formidable.
