13. The Prince Albert Brooch
Worn By: Queen Elizabeth II
Owned Since: 1840
Estimated Value: $4 million*
Queen Victoria may be remembered as a particularly stern and stoic queen, but back in 1840 she was just another blushing bride. Prince Albert gave his wife a gorgeous sapphire brooch, aptly titled The Prince Albert Brooch. It’s thought that the enormous stone set in diamonds is worth $4 million.

Queen Victoria designated it an “heirloom of the crown” meaning that only Queens or Queen Consorts could wear it. Queen Elizabeth II, like her mother before her, is partial to wearing the glittering piece and has been spotted sporting it on many different occasions. It’s certainly not costume jewelry like you’d see on Netflix’s The Crown.
Her Majesty is partial to matching her jewelry to her outfits, so this stunning sapphire can often be seen when Elizabeth is dressed up to the nines in blue. Fashions may have changed over the years, but Liz’s love of coordination has never waned.
14. Princess Diana’s Engagement Ring
Worn By: Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge
Owned Since: 1981
Estimated Value: $100,000*
When Prince Charles proposed to Diana Spencer in the early ‘80s, he went against the grain. Instead of giving her something from the royal collection, he allowed Diana to pick something herself. The result was the now infamous blue sapphire and diamond ring. At the time, Charles shelled out $36,000 for it.

Nowadays, the gorgeous ring is worth $100,000. Prince William delighted fans when he gave it to Kate Middleton when he popped the question back in 2010. Kate treasures the piece – and rightly so. This kind of heirloom doesn’t come around all that often.
Not only does it have a special place in Kate and Will’s family history, but it’s an important historical piece. Some may say it represents one of the most famous doomed marriages ever, but the marriage still resulted in Will and Harry which is something to celebrate.
15. The Lotus Flower Tiara
Worn By: Princess Margaret
Owned Since: 1923
Estimated Value: $4 million*
The Lotus Flower Tiara now belongs to Kate Middleton, but rewind the clock and Princess Margaret was once the rightful owner of the band of diamond arches topped off with single pearls.

The Queen Mother was the first owner of the tiara but it started out life as a necklace. Her husband gave it to her for their wedding in 1923, before the Queen Mother had it remodeled into a tiara. Kate has worn it several times, but the art deco piece hasn’t been seen for a few years, much to the chagrin of fans everywhere.
It’s simple enough to be understated while shiny enough to make a statement, which is probably why Princess Margaret wore it so often. Nothing says “royal” like a small smattering of diamonds, especially one that dates all the way back to the start of the 20th century.
16. The Delhi Durbar Tiara
Worn By: Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall
Owned Since: 1911
Estimated Value: $2 million*
Some tiaras are elegant and understated, while others walk into a room ten minutes before the person wearing it appears. The Delhi Durbar Tiara is a truly magnificent item that can’t be missed. It first appeared in 1911 when Queen Mary had it made for the Delhi Durbar, aka the celebration of her official coronation as Empress of India.

The diadem was then passed to the Queen Mother before it went to the Queen, who eventually loaned it to Camilla in 2005. Many felt like this was a true stamp of approval from a mother-in-law to a daughter-in-law. Considering its cost, it’s not hard to see why.
Few modern royals dare to wear a tiara that’s quite as big, but Camilla isn’t exactly known for being shy. The Duchess has been known to pair it with several other diamond pieces, from necklaces to earrings. The shinier, the better.
17. The Poltimore Tiara
Worn By: Princess Margaret
Owned Since: 1959
Estimated Value: $1.3 million*
Garrard was behind this incredible piece that was initially made for Florence Bampfylde before it was auctioned off in 1959. The winning bidder was Princess Margaret, who happily spent £5500 on the wonderful diamond item that can be broken down into 11 brooches.

Princess Margaret liked it so much that she wore it on her wedding day. Years later an image of the Princess in a bathtub wearing the tiara, prompted her children to sell it for $1.3 million.
The delicate pattern makes it wonderfully interesting to look at, but it’s arguably Princess Margaret that made this piece truly magical. Without her ethereal beauty – and that bathroom snap – the diadem wouldn’t be worth nearly as much as it is today.
18. The Strathmore Rose Tiara
Worn By: Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, The Queen Mother
Owned Since: 1923
Estimated Value: $500,000*
Before the Queen Mother ever became the Queen Mother, she was Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon on the cusp of starting her life as a married woman. Her parents gifted her the Strathmore Rose Tiara after purchasing it from Catchpole and Williams in 1923.

Made up of a band of diamond flowers, it has two frames, allowing the wearer to have it positioned on the forehead or higher up. The Queen Mother loved it and its ability to separate into brooches. No one else has worn the striking piece. The Queen Mother herself put it away long before she became the Queen Mother.
The ‘20s piece is a perfect example of the fashion of the time, but we would love to see it make an appearance now. All we have to go on is pictures of the Queen Mother wearing it in her prime. It would be great to see a younger royal giving it some air now.
19. Brazilian Aquamarine Parure Tiara, Earrings, and Necklace
Worn By: Queen Elizabeth II
Owned Since: 1953
Estimated Value: $1 million*
The Queen is more partial to clear diamonds than colorful pieces, but even Her Majesty can’t deny the profound beauty of the Brazilian Aquamarine Parure Tiara, earrings, and necklace set she was given in 1953.

The incredible trifecta couples stunning rectangular aquamarines from Brazil with platinum and diamonds. Made by Mappin & Webb in Rio de Janeiro, the set was a gift from the President and his people for the Queen’s coronation. Elizabeth still wears the collection to this day, proving that a pop of color always goes down well in the end.
The crystal clear gems look so wonderful it’s almost impossible to think that they’re actually real. Given the estimated value of $1 million, it’s not hard to see why Liz only busts this set out at special occasions. Still, we wish we saw it more.
20. The Burmese Ruby Tiara
Worn By: Queen Elizabeth II
Owned Since: 1973
Estimated Value: $9 million*
The Burmese Ruby Tiara is quite unique for multiple reasons. It’s one of the more modern pieces of jewelry owned by Queen Elizabeth II as she commissioned it in the early ‘70s. Made by Garrard, the breathtaking diadem contains 96 rubies gifted to the Queen by the Burmese people.

Given its historical importance and the sheer amount of gems and diamonds used to create it, experts have valued the tiara at an astonishing $9 million. According to The Express, the Burmese people believe that the rubies keep illnesses at bay. Given the Queen’s good health and lack of trips to CVS, they could be right.
At 94 years old, Her Majesty is one of the longest-reigning monarchs in history. If only she knew when she accepted the rubies that she would still be wearing them fifty years later! At 99, Prince Philip may well have a gem or two squirreled away as well.
21. The Festoon Tiara
Worn By: Autumn Phillips
Owned Since: 1973
Estimated Value: $500,000*
Princess Anne has had the pleasure of performing her royal duties for many years now. Not only has she opened hospitals, but she has also christened ships. Back in 1973, she was given the Festoon Tiara as a present for unveiling a vessel. The dainty design of the tiara made it a perfect addition to her daughter-in-law’s wedding outfit in 2008.

Autumn Phillips looked stunning when she married Anne’s son, Peter, 12 years ago. With so little about the origin of the tiara known, it’s difficult to put an exact price on it. However, the World Wide Shipping Group likely didn’t pick it up at Dollar Tree.
Autumn coupled the tiara with a traditional veil with lace detailing and simple pearl earrings. Few brides can say their “something old” was given to them by a member of the British Royal Family, but then again – few brides actually marry into that family, either.
22. Queen Mary’s Diamond Bar Choker Bracelet
Worn By: Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge
Owned Since: 1900s
Estimated Value: $500,000*
This stunning band of diamonds was once worn as a choker by Queen Mary, the Queen’s grandmother. These days, it’s a bracelet that looks just as breathtaking sat on the wrist of Kate Middleton.

Kate has worn it several times, but the Queen Mother also loved it. In fact, she chose to wear the piece in her official 75th birthday portraits taken by Norman Parkinson. While the Duchess of Cambridge looks charming and elegant with it, the Queen Mother gave it a whole different lease of life.
The Queen Mother passed away a year before Kate started dating Prince William in 2002, so the Duchess never got a chance to meet her husband’s great grandmother. Something tells us that HRH would’ve approved of Will’s choice. If anyone is going to do this bracelet justice, it’s Kate.
23. The Saudi Sapphire Set
Worn By: Princess Diana
Owned Since: 1981
Estimated Value: $1 million*
Princess Diana received an extortionate amount of gifts when she married Prince Charles in 1981. When the story that seemed like a fairytale was just beginning, the Saudi prince gifted Diana an incredible jewelry set for the occasion.

Perhaps the most famous out of all the pieces was the huge Burmese sapphire necklace set in diamonds with a thin diamond chain to accompany it. Diana wore the stunning set several times, with many of her most popular photos in the Carlyle Group’s Getty collection showing the People’s Princess wearing one of the pieces.
It was no secret that Diana loved sapphires as she picked out her famous engagement ring. If Netflix’s The Crown is to be believed, Diana knew the stone matched her eyes. She wasn’t wrong. Few can deny that the Princess looked stunning whenever she wore a sapphire.
24. The Cartier Halo Scroll Tiara
Worn By: Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge
Owned Since: 1936
Estimated Value: $1.6 million*
With 149 baguette-cut diamonds, the Cartier Halo Scroll Tiara is among one of the finest tiaras in the entire Windsor collection. Kate Middleton was loaned the headpiece for her wedding in 2011, but it was originally made for the Queen Mother back in 1936 by Cartier.

Her husband King George VI wanted her to have something special. The Queen Mother gave it to her daughter, Elizabeth, in 1944, before the Queen loaned it out to her grandson’s new bride for her special day. Experts say it’s likely worth $1.6 million.
The value would have significantly increased after Kate wore the tiara on her big day. It’s not every day that a set of diamonds becomes so culturally important. Future generations will look at the pictures of Kate and Will’s wedding for years to come.
25. Bleeding Heart Earrings
Worn By: Lady Amelia Windsor
Owned Since: 2019
Estimated Value: $285*
Not every single piece of jewelry owned by the Windsor family has to be extortionately expensive – although most of them are. Model and influencer Lady Amelia Windsor (the daughter of the Queen’s first cousin) collaborated with designers Tada & Toy in 2019 to come up with the Bleeding Heart Earrings.

Inspired by Romeo & Juliet, the earrings are made up of 18-carat gold plated vermeil on sterling silver, topped off with rubies, pink opals, rose quartz, and white topaz. It might not be platinum and diamonds, but they’re still $285 a pair.
That’s far more affordable for the average person than a $50 million diamond brooch, but it’s still a little excessive. Lady Amelia Windsor isn’t a prominent member of the royal family, but she’s a popular influencer with over 86,000 followers on Instagram, so that probably helped to boost sales.
