The Seoul amusement park Yongma Land was closed, not for some sinister motive, but simply because it could no longer support its operations. When the park was opened, it was very well-liked by the local population, but Yongma Land’s countdown began when Lotte World was established in 1989. The park’s revenue declined to such an extent that it had to close permanently in 2011.

You can still enter the park and stroll around for a modest fee even if the rides have been abandoned. The site is often visited by photographers who come to capture images of the vividly colored attractions. It has also been featured in multiple Korean music videos.
