An extremely ambitious proposal, the Ho Thuy Tien water park was to have rides, aquariums, restaurants, and live entertainment. Even before it was finished being built, the park welcomed guests in 2004. Even though the water park was well-liked by the community, financial difficulties forced its closure in a few of months.

That is how it has remained ever since, with the locals characterizing the absence of people as “surreal” and “eerie.” The park’s vivid colors still convey its potential, but the rides’ still-stagnant water gives a different impression. The park is nevertheless rather popular despite being abandoned, mostly because of the enormous dragon structure that is located there.
